DFW PENGUIN COACHING STAFF
TEX REMBERT
HEAD COACH, TRAINER AND FOUNDER
The DFW Penguin Basketball organization was created and formed by Tex Rembert in 2010. Tex created this organization to help young basketball players develop their basketball skills as well as their basketball IQ. Our goal is to mold and polish skills at an early age so that our players will stay ahead of their peers.
Tex has more than 12 years of basketball skill training experience. He has trained over 50 Division 1 College players, and over 500 high school players. Tex is well respected by his peers, high school, and college coaches in the area as one of the best basketball skills trainers in North Texas.
Tex has coached basketball at 3 levels. During the 08-09 and 09-10 basketball season season, he was the assistant basketball coach at Collin College. They were ranked #12 in the national NJCAA poll for Division 1 junior colleges in America.
During the 07-08 season at age 23, Rembert was the assistant men’s basketball coach at Wayland Baptist University, helping them finish second in their league and receiving an NAIA tournament bid.
In 2014 Tex was the Head Coach at Imagine academy in McKinney, Texas and helped the charter school up start their basketball program.
Coach Rembert finished his collegiate Basketball career at Abilene Christian University. During his Senior season he was an All- Conference player and was one of the leading scorers in the league.
Unlike many other basketball skills trainers who mainly work with players who are great prior to training with them, Tex Rembert prides himself in taking an underdeveloped athletes to a higher playing level.
If your son wants to improve at the sport of basketball, the DFW Penguin organization is the perfect place to be!
